Dr. Aileen McCabe-Maucher earned her doctorate in clinical social work from the University of Pennsylvania and is the author of the books, The Inner Peace Diet and Find Your Life Purpose Now: Recipes for Making Your Dreams Come True. Dr. McCabe-Maucher also earned a masters degree from Widener University and holds bachelors degrees from the University of Delaware and West Chester University of Pennsylvania in nursing and social work, respectively. In addition to private practice counseling and coaching, Dr. Aileen has worked as a mental health professional/social worker for the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Salvation Army, as well in non-profit community mental health, child welfare/adoption, hospice and drug and alcohol treatment settings. Dr. Aileen offers coaching services online does not practice psychotherapy via the internet at this time.
For the past 15 years, Aileen has worked as a college professor and loves helping clients use the life experience and education that they already have to propel them directly toward the career and work they most desire. A life-long student of yoga, Dr. Aileen was first introduced to this ancient practice at the age of three by her paternal grandmother, yoga teacher Dolly McCabe. Dr. Aileen formally studied yoga at the Yoga Lifestyle Center in Paoli PA and Leela Mata’s Peaceful Valley Ashram. She has developed and conducted numerous trainings on yoga for self-care and stress reduction for healthcare professionals and is skilled at making yoga accessible both physically and financially for all populations. Dr. Aileen is the founder of Forgotten Families, a non-profit start up that is dedicated to serving United States Military Veterans and their families who are impacted by service military related disability and toxic exposure. Her life’s work is inspired by her father and hero , John V. McCabe, who died after a lifelong battle with five brain tumors , prostate cancer, heart disease and diabetes caused by exposure to Agent Orange during his service in the Vietnam War
